ARC works closely in coordinating transportation for eligible individuals through the county Mental Health/Mental Retardation Program Office, Community Action, F.A.C.T ( Fayette Area Coordinated Transportation), Goodwill etc. Drivers are trained in CPRE and First Aid, and many of them have years of experience with the agency. Individuals are transported throughout Fayette County using passenger and wheelchair accessible vans. Between scheduled trips, vans are used for a variety of activities including such things as community trips, Meals On Wheels, as well as some medical appointments, etc. Vehicles are kept up to all rules and regulations as stated by vehicle codes. Preventative maintenance is done by factory trained staff located at dealerships in Fayette County.
Transportation will be provided to the best of our ability in an existing program Individuals are scheduled according to the availability of space and at the discretion of the transportation provider. All transportation services are contingent upon the availability of funds from the Fayette County MH/MR program.
