The Arc Fayette’s commitment to this campaign dates back to 2014, when the first rally was held at the Fayette County Courthouse to raise awareness about the harmful effects of the R-word. In 2017, participants and staff took this advocacy to the State Capitol, speaking out about the power of language and the importance of respectful communication. Every year, we renew our commitment to advocating for respect, inclusion, and the elimination of harmful language that marginalizes individuals with IDD. We count on your support!
Together, We Empower
At The Arc Fayette, we believe that when a community comes together, real change happens. That’s why we’re launching Together, We Empower, a campaign to support the Merlin Arc Fayette Scholarship, launching in July 2025.
