Progress Continues on The Arc of Fayette County’s New Home
There’s a lot happening at the site of The Arc of Fayette County’s new building, and with each update, it’s getting easier to picture what this space will soon become.
Members of our staff and Board recently had the opportunity to walk through the building and see the progress firsthand. Outside, asphalt has been poured for the new parking areas and entrance, and siding is nearly complete. Inside, work continues throughout the building, with drywall set to begin going up soon.
Most importantly, construction remains on schedule.
While there is still plenty of work ahead, walking through the building is an exciting reminder of what’s waiting on the other side of construction: a space designed to help The Arc of Fayette County serve more people and serve them better.
Our new home will give our programs, services and staff room to grow while creating a welcoming, accessible environment for the people and families we serve. It represents an investment not only in The Arc, but in the future of services and supports for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout our community.
For more than 60 years, The Arc of Fayette County has worked to empower individuals with disabilities to live, work and participate fully in their communities. As our organization and services continue to grow, this new facility will help ensure we have the space and resources to continue that work for years to come.
We’re excited to watch the building continue to take shape , and even more excited for the day we can open the doors and welcome our community inside.
