The Adult Training Facility (ATF) is a Community Participation Supports program that offers engaging experiences both at the Arc Fayette facility and in the community. At its core, the ATF program fundamentally embraces community inclusion, independence, choice and person-centered planning.

The ATF facilitates and supports program participants within a significant variety of volunteer opportunities along with skill and social-building activities in the community.

Key Program Priorities

We believe that everyone deserves to be included and to thrive on their own terms. That’s why we focus on these two core priorities.

Inclusion

We support full community participation by offering engaging activities that encourage relationship-building and social contribution.

Increasing Independence

Participants gain practical life skills that enhance their confidence, autonomy, and ability to navigate the world independently.

Person-Centered Care

We tailor our activities and support to each individual’s unique needs, interests, and abilities. Our goal is to enhance the personal strengths and confidence of every participant.

Meaningful Activities

Our daily schedule is filled with a variety of engaging activities, including life skills training, arts and crafts, social interaction, and community outings. These activities foster independence and promote self-expression.

Social and Community Engagement

Building connections is an essential part of our program. We encourage participants to build friendships, explore new interests, and actively engage in the community through recreational and educational activities.

Skills for Independence

We focus on promoting life skills such as communication, personal care, and social interaction, helping participants gain greater independence and confidence in their everyday lives.

Ida’s Corner

At The Arc Fayette, every participant is on a unique journey, one filled with growth, achievement, and milestones. Whether it’s learning a new skill, making friends, volunteering or pursuing a passion, we believe every milestone matters. In this spirit, we are proud to highlight a storytelling initiative led by Ida, ATF participant.

In Their Words

Inspiring stories of transformation and hope from those we have had the privilege to support and work with.
