Ida’s Corner

Maria, staff and Ida, ATF participant

At The Arc Fayette, every person’s journey is worth celebrating – because every step forward, no matter how big or small, marks a meaningful milestone. From learning new skills to building confidence and finding new ways to connect, our participants continue to inspire us with their determination and heart.

Meet Ida. As a participant in our Adult Training Facility (ATF) program, Ida has taken on a personal goal: to write and tell stories. She’s set out to interview members of The Arc Fayette team, capturing their stories, voices, and the heart behind the work they do. We couldn’t be prouder of this milestone, and we’re thrilled to share it with you. We invite you to read the interviews below and get to know the heart of The Arc Fayette through Ida’s eyes.

First up: Lena, our Adult Training Facility Program Manager!

Ida asked Lena some fun questions:
💛 What is your favorite color? Yellow
🎬 What is your favorite movie? The Sound of Music
🍽️ What is your favorite place to be? Cracker Barrel
🛍️ What store do you shop at? JCPenney

This time, she’s talking to Geri, our amazing nurse who has been part of The Arc Fayette for an impressive 37 years!

Ida asked Geri some fun questions:
💚 What is your favorite color? Green
🎬 What is your favorite movie? It’s a Wonderful Life
🍽️ What is your favorite place to eat? Tia’s

And this is just the beginning. Be sure to check back soon for more stories from Ida’s Corner as her journey continues!
