Autumn Outing: Pumpkin Patch
Participants from The Arc, Fayette’s Adult Training Facility and residential programs recently enjoyed a memorable community outing to the pumpkin patch. The activity provided a fun and engaging way for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our programs to connect, explore, and participate in seasonal activities.
The day featured a variety of experiences, including navigating the pumpkin patch, riding the hayride, and making their way through a corn maze. These activities allowed participants to enjoy the sights and sounds of fall while fostering teamwork, curiosity, and excitement.
Community outings such as this play an important role in The Arc, Fayette programs. They offer participants opportunities to develop social connections, build confidence, and engage meaningfully with the wider community. This year’s pumpkin patch adventure was a wonderful celebration of inclusion, independence, and joy, creating lasting memories for all participants.
