Our Early Intervention program has been providing hands-on support and developmental activities in Fayette County for over 60 years. Evaluation and services are free to all eligible children, regardless of income.

Our program delivers direct specialized services through a team of professionally trained therapists and special instructors, each committed to helping children reach their full potential. Early Intervention services are offered in the comfort of your home or in the community.

Early Intervention, lifelong growth

Why is Early Intervention Important?

Early Intervention (EI) is crucial because the first three years of a child’s life are a critical period for brain development and learning. During this time, children build foundational skills that shape their ability to communicate, move, and interact with the world around them.

For children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, EI provides specialized support to address delays early, improving long-term outcomes in education, socialization, and independence. By working closely with families, therapists, and educators, EI empowers children to reach their full potential, reducing the need for more intensive services later in life.

How Can I Get Support?

To begin, contact Fayette County Behavioral Health Administration on 724-4301370 to determine eligibility. Once eligibility is determined, you will be assigned a Supports Coordinator to help determine what services are needed and what resources are available. Referrals can be made directly by an individual, family member, including foster parents and guardians, or through a pediatrician. Once you or your loved one is determined eligible for services, we encourage you to choose The Arc Fayette for your services.

After I send the referral, what can my family expect?
